Cypress Knees is about as small (8x8 oil) and intimate as a landscape can get. Cypress trees grow near and in fresh water in Florida, staining the water a tea color. Those bumps around the base are called "knees."This painting is another from last year's Melrose paint out. Open Air Arts starts tomorrow! I've got to get packing.
