Morning Palms at Mike's - Sold

Soft early light at Mike's Fish Camp in Evinston, FL. I loved painting this. It's one of those special ones that practically paints itself.

OLO Twin...Sold at OLO

The Orange Lake Overlook view is a bit like my plein air oil painting, but instead of 6 x 6 inches, it goes on as far as you can see.

Annie Pais and Stewart Thomas did Florida's Eden proud as always in combining ecology, education, and fun. The new Heart of Florida Scenic Guide is more beautiful than I could imagine. I'm proud to be a small part of this organization.

Lots of folks eager to bask in the first glorious Florida spring day arrived with cameras and smiles. I got to meet some lovely people and catch up with old friends. It doesn't get any better.

The painting above got its moniker because my newest patron bought it wet off the easel along with another, its mysteriously never photographed twin.

She had fun watching me paint what she was seeing. I had fun sharing her pleasure.

p.s. A third painting...the one with the white building....scraped it off....in case you were wondering.

Two TAll Paintings at Brick City Center for the Arts

Sharpes Ferry Bridge IV - the one with the anole and Sapelo Island Sunset diptych are the large paintings anchoring my wall in the OoHA HUGS Ocala art exhibit and sale.
The talented and wise Dr. Leslie Hammond chose these and 5 smaller pieces to hang between them.

The plan is to hang more small paintings from each of us in OOHA on movable walls in time for the opening celebration on Friday.

(The palms from the previous post could not be squeezed in, but we can arrange a special viewing. Just email me.)

Dr. Hammond hung only the choicest works, both excellent and affordable.

Cypress Knees

Many Melrose residents graciously opened their yards to the artists to paint Melrose Bay and Lake Santa Fe. These cypress knees were on private property. They have such character; I couldn't resist painting them.

Five for the Road

Five for the Road, 5 x 7 oil painting on panel -- sold

This intimate alla prima landscape of grapefruit hanging from my daughter's tree on a frosty morning was won in auction created just for my enews subscribers. Alla prima means it was painted all at once, in one session.

It was great fun. Wonder if it would have been more fun if people could watch the bidding. So much to learn!

I painted Cedar Key, Florida intimate landscapes in all 4 seasons. They make a nice set and can be displayed as 4 across or down or even a square. Framed, wired, and ready to hang. They also tuck nicely into bookshelf crannies, one of my favorite places for small paintings.
